Netizen reports the average height of K-pop girl groups

A summary reporting the average height of today’s girl groups was posted online, drawing major attention from fans.

The girl groups were ranked in five different categories: Giant group, Tall group, Average Height group, Short group, and Shortest group.

The tallest girl group was Nine Muses whose average height was reported to be 171.9cm or over 5’7″, while Brown Eyed Girls was the shortest girl group, averaging at 5’2″.

Wonder Girls’ Yenny laughs off snarky remark made by soccer commentator

Wonder Girls‘ member Yenny responded to a snarky remark made by soccer commentator Kim Dong Wan (35).

On March 1st, the singer wrote via her official Twitter page, “Ay~ It seems like he meant it as a joke, let’s all just laugh it off. Smile.”

Ahead of her response, soccer player Ki Sung Yong held a fan meeting on the same day. In regards to Ki Sung Yong admitting that his ideal woman was Yenny, Kim Dong Wan rudely remarked, “Then looks must not be important to you,” which caused him to be heavily criticized by the public.

Yenny’s tweet proved that she was unfazed, and she encouraged people to stop attacking him.

Netizens who were impressed with Yenny’s laid-back personality wrote, “Awesome of you to over look it. You have every right to be mad“, and “You’re so kind and understanding.”

Wonder Girls get nominated for ‘Best Asian Act’ by Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

It’s just been revealed that the Wonder Girls were nominated for an award with the 2012 Nickelodeon-Asia Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA)!

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is one of America’s biggest annual awards shows. Though the show caters mainly to a younger audience, it draws a top tier list of celebrity guests and performers every year. When Nickelodeon launched worldwide versions of its network, they also brought over the KCA to different continents.

This year, the Wonder Girls were nominated for the ‘Best Asian Act‘ award alongside Agnes Monica (Indonesia), Charice (the Philippines), and Yuna (Malaysia). Though the Wonder Girls are up against a talented roster, many are expecting that they’ll sweep the award, especially since they gained new fans through their TV movie, ‘The Wonder Girls‘.

Fans can vote for their favorite celebrities starting from February 24th. The awards are scheduled for April and will be hosted by Hollywood actor Will Smith.

Wonder Girls‘ Sunye recently shared her faith and her thoughts on love, along with a photo through Twitter.

On February 19th, Sunye tweeted a picture of herself and her boyfriend volunteering in Haiti. “The reason I breathe, I hope that even the smallest parts of my life will be a passageway of happiness..^^  I hope that when light shines, even it may be weak, that it will blossom into a full light of glory^^”.

She also cited the famous Bible verse, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. “
